Virgin Strawberry Mohito

Summer is nearby, so it's time to start thinking about ice-cold drinks to chase the heat away. I strongly recommend this refreshing mouthwatering Virgin Strawberry Mohito!

Not everyone drinks alcohol, so this is the perfect mocktail for summer parties and kids-friendly too.

No matter what time of the year you have a party, this is a nice non-alcoholic drink option to offer. This is a beautiful, super delicious and refreshing mocktail, that can be enjoyed by anyone!

If you want, you can replace strawberries with other fruits like rasberries, mango, apple etc. If you don't have brown sugar, replace sparkling water with sparkling lemonade (sprite).

I love to create mocktail recipes, because they are a fun way to enjoy a flavorful and refreshing mocktail, plus they are easy to make at home!

Recipe

Yield: Serves 1

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

4 Strawberries

3/4 Lime

1 tbsp. Brown Sugar

8-10 Mint Leaves

150 ml Sparkling Water or Sprite

Ice cubes

extra Strawberries, mint and lime slices to garnish (optional)

Method

  • Wash strawberries and cut stalks. You can either use sliced strawberries, that you muddle in the glass or you can puree strawberries on a food processor (like I did), before you prepare the drink.

  • Wash and cut lime in half. Then cut into thick slices. Place 3/4 of sliced lime into a glass.

  • Add 1 tbsp. brown sugar and muddle, until lime juice comes out and brown sugar melts.

  • Add strawberry puree, mint leaves and muddle gently to release flavors and mint aroma.

  • Fill the glass with ice cubes and pour sparkling water. (optionally you can add sliced strawberry to decorate the inside. See picture).

  • Garnish, mix with a straw and enjoy.
