Easy Chia Seed Pudding

Chia Seed Pudding is a perfect healthy breakfast, snack or dessert! It's creamy, satisfying and loaded with protein, fiber, omega-3s and minerals. If you haven't tried this healthy recipe before, now is the time! It is so easy to make and you only need 3 to 4 ingredients plus desired toppings to prepare it.

In case you aren't familiar with Chia Seeds, they are a South American super food loaded with nutrients that can have positive benefits for your body and brain.

What does Chia Pudding taste like?

Chia Seeds are flavorless, so the pudding will taste whatever liquid and sweetener you are using. It's a flexible recipe, because the flavor depends entirely on what you choose to add.

Chia Pudding can be made with water, juice or milk. I prefer milk because it makes the pudding super creamy. You can use any milk you like. I love using plant-based milks like unsweetened almond milk, oat milk or coconut milk.

If you want the pudding to have a bit of sweetness you can add a sweetener of your choice, like honey, maple syrup, stevia, spices like cinnamon and vanilla extract or even cocoa powder to give it a chocolatey note. Chia Seed Pudding is very flexible and can be anything you want it to be.

As for the texture, Chia Seed Pudding has a gelatinous texture.

Do you eat Chia Seed Pudding hot or cold?

You can eat Chia Seed Pudding both hot and cold. After you soak chia seeds you can either eat it right straight from your fridge or you can warm it up by boiling the chia seeds in your milk and sweetener mixture for up to five minutes. Once the milk has been absorbed from the chia seeds, your warm Chia Seed Pudding is ready to be eaten.

Cold Chia Seed Pudding will keep for approximately 5 days in the fridge in an airtight container and that makes it a perfect healthy meal to prepare for the week.
