Pear Puff Pastry Tart

Do you need a delicious, easy and quick dessert?? This is it!!! Pear Puff Pastry Tart highlighting pears, brown sugar, cinnamon and flaky, buttery pastry. It's simple and comes together quickly, thanks to the help of some store bought puff pastry, no homemade pie dough needed.

With this tart you can take your coffee addiction or your early morning snack time to another level! worth to be noted is, that you can also create this tart with apples too. That's why I love my easy pear tart recipe!



Ingredients

1 sheet of frozen puff pastry, defrosted

2-3 pears, thinly sliced (depends the size of pears)

2 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted

1 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar

1 tbsp. vanilla extract

1/2 ground cinnamon

1 tbsp. powdered sugar











Method

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees (Fan).

  • Place puff pastry sheet on an oven pan with baking paper. If you desire a nice shape, then cut the puff pastry sheet to a rectangle.

  • In a bowl add sliced pears. Add 1 tbsp. brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, vanilla extract and mix.

  • Leaving a 3-5 cm border, layer the pear slices on top of puff pastry.

  • Sprinkle the top of the pears with the remaining 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar.

  • Bake for approx. 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.

  • Remove from oven and let cool for at least 10 minutes.

  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

  • Slice it and serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
