Garlic Herb Dinner Rolls

Who doesn't love homemade Dinner Rolls, especially when they are garlicky, buttery and herby! These dinner rolls are very soft, fluffy and super delicious! I am sure you will love them!!!

I enjoy them the most, when they are freshly baked and warm!!! That smell and that softness are divine!!

Ingredients

For Dough

1 cup Milk, warm (a touch more warm than lukewarm)

16 gr. Dry Yeast

2 tbsp. granulated Sugar (plus 1 tsp.)

2 Eggs

1/4 cup unsalted Butter, melted and cooled

1 tsp. powdered Garlic

1 1/2 Salt

1 tsp. Basil

2 tbsp. Parsley

1 tsp. Oregano

3 1/2- 4 cups Bread Flour (or All-Purpose Flour), plus more as needed

For Garlic Herb Butter

3-4 tbsp. melted Butter

1/2 tbsp. Salt

2-3 cloves minced Garlic

Method

  • Pour warm milk (not lukewarm, not too warm, because the yeast will not be activated) into a bowl of stand mixer. Add 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar and dry yeast and stir. Wait for approx. 10 minutes for the yeast to be activated (until gets frothy).

  • Set up the dough hook attachment in the stand mixer, add 2 tbsp. granulated sugar, eggs, melted butter, powdered garlic, salt and beat on medium to low speed.

  • Gradually add flour (1 cup at a time), scraping the sides of the bowl with a spatula.

  • Beat in high speed and mix until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. If needed, add more flour. The dough should be slightly sticky, moist and manageable!!!

  • On low speed, add basil, parsley and oregano, until all herbs incorporate with the dough.

  • Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for approx. 3 minutes. Sprinkle more flour, while kneading. The dough should be moist, slightly sticky and should spring back slowly when poked!

  • Form dough into a ball and place on a lightly oiled bowl. Coat the dough with olive oil and cover the bowl with a plastic wrap.

  • Let rise in a warm environment for about an hour or until doubled in size.

  • When dough is ready, transfer to a clean surface, cut the dough into 12 equal pieces. Shape into balls and transfer in a greased (with olive oil) 9x13 baking pan.

  • Cover pan with plastic wrap and let them rise for approx. 1 hour.

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

  • Prepare Garlic Herb Butter. In a small bowl add melted butter, salt and minced garlic and mix.

  • When rolls have risen, brush all over them with the Garlic Herb Butter.

  • Bake in 180 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
