Who doesn't love homemade Dinner Rolls, especially when they are garlicky, buttery and herby! These dinner rolls are very soft, fluffy and super delicious! I am sure you will love them!!!
I enjoy them the most, when they are freshly baked and warm!!! That smell and that softness are divine!!
1 cup Milk, warm (a touch more warm than lukewarm)
16 gr. Dry Yeast
2 tbsp. granulated Sugar (plus 1 tsp.)
1/4 cup unsalted Butter, melted and cooled
1 tsp. powdered Garlic
1 1/2 Salt
1 tsp. Basil
2 tbsp. Parsley
1 tsp. Oregano
3 1/2- 4 cups Bread Flour (or All-Purpose Flour), plus more as needed
For Garlic Herb Butter
3-4 tbsp. melted Butter
1/2 tbsp. Salt
2-3 cloves minced Garlic
Pour warm milk (not lukewarm, not too warm, because the yeast will not be activated) into a bowl of stand mixer. Add 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar and dry yeast and stir. Wait for approx. 10 minutes for the yeast to be activated (until gets frothy).
Set up the dough hook attachment in the stand mixer, add 2 tbsp. granulated sugar, eggs, melted butter, powdered garlic, salt and beat on medium to low speed.
Gradually add flour (1 cup at a time), scraping the sides of the bowl with a spatula.
Beat in high speed and mix until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. If needed, add more flour. The dough should be slightly sticky, moist and manageable!!!
On low speed, add basil, parsley and oregano, until all herbs incorporate with the dough.
Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for approx. 3 minutes. Sprinkle more flour, while kneading. The dough should be moist, slightly sticky and should spring back slowly when poked!
Form dough into a ball and place on a lightly oiled bowl. Coat the dough with olive oil and cover the bowl with a plastic wrap.
Let rise in a warm environment for about an hour or until doubled in size.
When dough is ready, transfer to a clean surface, cut the dough into 12 equal pieces. Shape into balls and transfer in a greased (with olive oil) 9x13 baking pan.
Cover pan with plastic wrap and let them rise for approx. 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Prepare Garlic Herb Butter. In a small bowl add melted butter, salt and minced garlic and mix.
When rolls have risen, brush all over them with the Garlic Herb Butter.
Bake in 180 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
