Fresh Spring Onion Fritters

Fresh spring onion fritters are so easy to make yet delicious. A great treat or snack served as an appetizer/ meze/ tapas. Everyone loves appetizers, isn't it?

(Around 20-25 pieces)


Ingredients

15-20 fresh spring onions

3 eggs

1/2 cup of milk

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/5 cup lukewarm water

300gr all purprose flour

1 tbsp. salt

Pepper

Sunflower oil for frying



Method

๐Ÿ”ธ Cut onions into slices and place them in a big bowl.

๐Ÿ”ธ Add salt and squeeze until onions bolt.


๐Ÿ”ธ In a bowl add eggs and whisk them.

๐Ÿ”ธ Add eggs to the bowl with the onions.

๐Ÿ”ธ Add baking powder to the cup of milk, stir and add to the onions.

๐Ÿ”ธ Add rest of the ingredients and at the end add gradually the flour.

๐Ÿ”ธ Heat sunflower oil in a pan.

๐Ÿ”ธ When ready, carefully add a small amount of the mixture by using a big spoon.

๐Ÿ”ธ Fry each side for about 2 minutes or until golden.

๐Ÿ”ธ Serve with yoghurt or a yoghurt sauce.
