The original italian Caprese salad is made with sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil. My approach in making this salad includes a "twist" by adding pinenuts, greek black olives and balsamic glaze. It takes only a few minutes to be made! it is super healthy, so tasty and is looking gorgeous! Don't you agree??
Preparation time: 5 minutes
400 gr. cherry tomatoes, cut in half
250 gr. mini mozzarella balls
2 cups black olives
2 tbsp. pinenuts
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp. balsamic glaze
Flaky sea salt
Ground black pepper
Add cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and black olives to a medium bowl and set aside.
In a small bowl or mason jar, mix olive oil, balsamic glaze, salt and ground black pepper.
Pour dressing over salad and toss gently.
Garnish with basil leaves and enjoy!
