Updated: Dec 28, 2021

Easy homemade Flatbread, made with only 2 ingredients! This delicious pita-type Flatbread is a great addition to any meal. Super quick, easy and budget friendly alternative to a store-bought bread or flatbread. Plus no yeast is required!

You can serve it with any meal, with a savory or sweet dip, as a wrap or enjoy it plain.

Servings: 8-10 flatbreads

Preparation time: 5 mins

Cooking time: 10 mins

400 gr. Self-rising Flour

400 gr. Greek Yoghurt

3/4 tsp. Salt (optional)

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Parsley, chopped (optional)

  • In a big bowl add greek yoghurt, self-rising flour, salt and mix.

  • Dust a surface with flour, turn out the dough and knead for a minute, until a soft dough-ball is formed. If the dough is sticky, add a little more flour.

  • Wrap in a plastic wrap and set aside to rest for 30 minutes.

  • Unwrap dough and divide in 12 pieces. Roll out each piece, approximately 4-5 mm thin.

  • Spread a frying pan with some olive oil (1/2 tbsp) over medium heat. Add flatbreads, one at a time, and cook, turning after 1-2 minutes or when bubbles are formed on the top and darken on the underside. Cook for one more minute. Repeat until all flatbreads are cooked.

  • Spread with some extra virgin olive oil.

  • Optionally garnish with chopped parsley.
